Rehoming Rescued Rabbits and Rodents

The domestic rabbits, rats, mice, hamsters and other small mammals available for adoption from Empty Cages Collective have been rescued from abandonment, neglect, abuse and other forms of cruelty. Some of these have been exploited in animal experimentation, while others have been neglected and abandoned by irresponsible guardians. We want to ensure that mistreatment is a thing of the past for these little beings. With that in mind, we are seeking serious, responsible adopters committed to the humane treatment of animals. Adoption requires an approved adoption application and a reasonable adoption donation so that we can continue our important work of rescuing and protecting rodents, and other animals.

You can get a copy of our rodent adoption application here ECC_Rodent_Application.pdf and our rabbit adoption application hereRabbit Adoption 2013.pdf or by contacting us at: Once we receive your completed application, processing will generally take 1 to 5 days. If your application is approved, we will contact you to schedule drop off at your home. This also serves as our informal "home visit." Please be aware that placement of animals is not based on order of receipt of completed application. We are first and foremost trying to best meet the needs of our rescued animals when making decisions regarding their placement.
